FRUITCAKE SPECIAL.

ARMSTRONG

Based on the short story, Fruitcake Special by Frank Brennan, I like the character Armstrong because he is determined. Armstrong was determined to become successful so that, he can marry Anna, the women he fell in love with. He worked hard to become the owner of a pizza company and only asked Anna out on a date when he achieved his goal.

Morover, Armstrong also shows the value of integrity. Armstrong waited until he was rich and worthy enough to ask Anna out on a date, as he believed that Anna deserved no less. This shows a strong sense integrity in him.

Furthurmore, he is very hardworking. Armstrong works hard for two years to build up his career, after meeting Anna. At the end of the story, he comes to see Anna. He is now the owner of the pizza company.

Besides that, Armstrong is steadfast and constant in his love for Anna. He is sincere and honest in his love for Anna. He remains faithful to the love that he holds for her and works hard to make himself worthy her love. When he is successful, he returns to declare his true feelings for Anna.

DAVID AMOS

Based on the short story, Fruitcake Special by Frank Brennan, I dislike the character David Amos because he is self-centred. David Amos and his current girlfriend, Sabrina, were self-centered. David was so full of himself at he would only go out with young, pretty models because these good looking girls would boost hos image.

Morover, he is shallow and superficial. Mr Amos is not serious in his feelings or actions. He has many girlfriends and Sabrina is the latest.

Furthurmore, he is insensitive as he thinks that money can solve all problems. Mr Amos thinks that he can pay Anna when he is no longer interested with her. He is insensitive to her because he hurt her pride and feelings.

Besides that, he is Anna’s boss and the owner of Amos cosmetics factory. He is a rich and handsome Englishman and likes only beautiful models.
